cetisPV-XF2 is an innovative multilevel xenon flasher for the sun simulation (AM1.5). The illumination area (220x 220mm²) covers the range of solar cells up to small moduls. Its outstanding features are the selfadapting microprocessor controlled regulation of the irradiance curve. cetisPV-XF2 fully satisfies the requirements of IEC60904-9 for Class A simulators (spectral match, uniformity, temporal stability) by applying an optimized filter set. cetisPV-XF2 is especially designed for high speed automatic cell sorters.
The cetisPV-XF2 xenon flasher can be manually operated (intensity level and manual trigger) and triggered via an external relay contact. Typically it is completely remote controlled via an isolated USB communication interface. In combination with the software PVCTControl and a standard PC the selection of presets allows both the temporal form of the flash and its duration (up to 58ms) to be varied (linear, multi-step and nonlinear curves).
The flasher light box is equipped with its own irradiance feed back sensor, a spectral filter set and a thermostatic controlled cooling fan to stabilize the temperature of the flasher tube. In case of service the flash tube can be easily exchanged. Filter mats on the sidewalls of the flasher light box keep the cooling air inside clean thus avoiding soiling of the flasher tube.
The modular flasher components incorporate the microprocessor controlling unit cetisPV-XF2-C, the irradiance regulator cetisPV-XF2-R and the power supply with the high powert capacitor package cetisPVXF2-P. Rear side fans control the temperature inside the units. For the integration e.g. in test benches or cell tester a connector for an external control panel is provided. The high speed version allowes repetition rates of up to 1,0 sec, which is highly suitable for high speed cell sorters with a throughput of up to 3600 cells/hour.
