cetisPV-EL3-M

 

The high power electronic load cetisPV-EL3-M for solar module measurements is an add-on to our photovoltaic curve tracer cetisPV-CTL1. This active load extends the measuring range of the curve tracer to the third quadrant of the IU-curve for solar modules. Since the active load drives the IU curve sweep from postive towards negative current, when crossing the zero line a highly precise Uoc value can be determined. cetisPV-EL3-M provides separate outputs for solar modul and solar cell mesurements. The outputs are software selectable. This provides the ability to flexible measure module and cell properties of e. g. thin film modules. With cetisPV-EL3-M the diode curve of a module can be measured under insolation (normally standard test conditions) and in darkness. This gives additional information especially about the shunt and serial resistance of the tested module.

Software controlled switching between the EL3 load of the curve tracer cetisPV-CTL1 and the cetisPV-EL3-M load. The original voltage and current ranges of the curve tracer can still be used for cell or cell stripe measurements (e. g. thin-film modules).

Software independent security circuitry to enable the load only under save conditions (e.g. operator out of reach of the module and the module plugs).
