cetisPV-CT-L1 is a Photo Voltaic Curve Tracer for Laboratory or production applications. As a stationary device it measures the I/V-curves of photovoltaic cells and modules in a wide range fitting to customer needs. Outstanding features of the cetisPV-CT-L1 are the high precision layout of the electronic section, measurements in 2- or 3-quadrants plus a service friendly, modular mechanical design. A standard software package covers the essential customer requirements. The specifications of the overall measurement ranges and system features are customizable.
Technical Specifications
System Hardware Internal microprocessor (16-bit) with flash memory for permanent storage of program and parameter. Internal download interface for update of firmware.
Microprocessor controlled electronic load (12 bit D/A) for I/V-curve measurements in 2- or 3-quadrants (sink and source) with 4-wire technology: - I/V-curve in forward direction under standard test conditions. - I/V-curve in forward direction without illumination. - I/V-curve in reverse direction without illumination.
Simultaneous, high precision and high speed data acquisition for current, voltage and the global insolation via three separate 16-bit A/D converters (10 µs). Digital selection of four measurement ranges with high precision instrument amplifiers (0,01 % gain error). Measurement of temperature with 10-bit resolution.
4-wire measurement of current and voltage. Measurement ranges are designed to customer requirements, e.g. the typical specifications for solar cells measurements are –15 .. +1 V at 0 .. 10 A The 3-quadrant version of the electronic load cassette allowes measurement ranges of up to 100 V and up to 16 A. Two different 2-quadrant versions cover the ranges of up to 200 V / 10 A and up to 100 V / 20 A.
Three separate temperature inputs (0 .. +50 °C) for thermoelements type K (resolution < 0,3 °C), temperature sensor type PT100/PT1000 (resolution < 0,1 °C), infrared radiation pyrometer (resolution < 0,1 °C).
Input for reference cell (global insolation). Measurement range 0..1200 W/m². Selectable triggering of the measurement via reference cell.
Measurement time interval and number of data points per curve selectable (256/512). The duration of a curve measurement with e.g. 256 data points lasts 6 .. 10 ms.
Complete remote operation and control via external PC. Host interface RS232/V24 with 38 kBaud transfer rate.
Process control interface for the integration of the measurement system into a complete automated test bench: 8 bit galvanically decoupled inputs and 8 bit relay outputs.
Permanent selftest of the unit with monitoring of all internal voltage sources plus the internal temperature ensures a high reliability. In combination with a complete modular, cassette orientated design a quick service is ensured.
The mechanical dimension of the 19-inch cabinet vary with the specifications of the load (3 or 6 units height), 300 mm depth.
