h.a.l.m. delivers well-established in-line cell performance measuring systems all over the world. They apply to the h.a.l.m. high-precision standards and class A+A+A+ according to IEC 60904-9 Ed. 2.0 with:
- Spectral mismatch < 12.5%
- Spatial non-uniformity < 1.5%
- Temporal stability < 0.5%
The h.a.l.m. cell testing series for production lines offers:
High precision measuring
The h.a.l.m. IV curve tracer cetisPV-CTL1 is a 3-channel 16-bit AD converter with an active electronic 3-quadrant load for synchronous measurement of current, voltage, and irradiance. Above that, it tracks different temperatures via RTD or contact-free IR sensors for temperature correction according to IEC 60891 Ed. 2.0.
Unique flash performance
The high-speed sun simulator allows flash durations of up to 60 ms and cycle times below 1.1 s. h.a.l.m. offers unique features like single-flash hysteresis for capacitive cells and multi-level flashes, which allow to record IV curves at different intensities within one flash.
System integration with many production line manufacturers
h.a.l.m.'s state-of-the-art class AAA devices are integrated in cell sorters of all common production-line manufacturers (Applied-Baccini, Jonas&Redmann, ASYS, Schmid, Manz etc.).
Easy to maintain and calibrate
The h.a.l.m. cetis series runs with very few easy-to-change wear parts. The flash bulb insures more than 500,000 flashes and can be changed within minutes with a hex key. Thanks to the modular principle, only small measuring cassettes need to be exchanged for calibration.
High compatibility with all common interfaces
The in-line cell performance measuring system communicates with the automation via a process interface. It has many common MES connections, such as XML export, SQL, or semiPV2-SECSGem. The data interface is configurable for the customer at all times.
Many add-ons and retrofit options
Thanks to the modular principle, h.a.l.m. systems in general can easily be extended and updated to the latest state-of-the-art. There are several software and hardware options available, which can be integrated and retrofitted to help cell manufactures increase process control and data acquisition. Advanced data analysis like 2-diode fit or Suns-Voc can easily be included in every h.a.l.m. high-speed system. Hardware add-ons are also available like the cetisPV-GR (grid resistance), which analyses the cell surface printing quality and finger resistances on front and rear side. Additionally, it checks the contact resistance of the pins to ensure a good and reliable contact is made to the cell.
In-line thermography and electroluminescence vision tools
With the hardware option of in-line thermography, hot spots can be detected automatically with the increase of yield (no recontacting) and the decrease of footprint. For mono-crystalline technologies, h.a.l.m. also offers integrated electroluminescence measurement with automated image analysis. This allows a complete high-speed performance and vision analysis with only one cell contacting.
